New American Funding, Alterra Home Loans pledge support to advance sustainable Latino homeownership

San Diego, CA  The
National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP)
announced two new additions to the organization’s growing list of
diamond level partners, New American Funding and Alterra Home Loans,
both of which are Latino-owned businesses. Diamond partners support the
organization at the highest level of funding and represent a
cross-section of leading companies in the housing industry.

“While
their financial contributions are important, partners like Alterra and
New American Funding are invaluable to our organization because the
services they provide to Hispanic homebuyers make the dream of
homeownership possible for thousands of families each year” said Gary
Acosta, NAHREP co-founder and CEO “It is exciting to see how both
companies have grown exponentially by focusing on the fastest growing
segment of new homebuyers in America.”

Diamond
partners actively participate with NAHREP in its conventions, programs
and chapter network. They also engage in working groups and advisory
boards such as NAHREP’s Corporate Board of Governors (CBOG) where
executive level professionals share in-depth perspectives on housing
policy, Hispanic market intelligence and business development
opportunities. Companies like Alterra Home Loans and New American
Funding (NAF) have taken note of the growing Hispanic market segment
expressed in the industry benchmark publication, the
State of Hispanic Homeownership Report. This year’s report will be released on March 15, 2016 at the organization’s Housing Policy and Hispanic Lending Conference in Washington DC and is expected to show that Hispanic homebuyers dominated new homebuyer activity in 2015.

“Supporting
organizations like NAHREP keeps our company true to who we are,” said
Patty Arvielo, NAF president and co-founder, “Our mission at NAF is to
identify and address challenges Hispanic consumers face in their pursuit
of homeownership while enhancing the quality of their lending
experience. NAHREP takes the lead in doing that for the Latino
community.”

“As
a business professional, my participation in NAHREP has been a life
changing experience, and our business has benefited on multiple levels”
said Jason Madiedo, President and CEO of Alterra Home Loans, “Our
business has grown because of our association with NAHREP and we are
honored to support the organization as a diamond partner. We are looking
forward to continuing our mission of helping Latino families build
wealth through homeownership.”
