Kroc Kids Junior TheatreKThe Kroc Center’s Kroc Kids Jr. Theatre Company has been rehearsing for weeks and it is finally show time! The talented and young performing arts group produces two shows annually and their upcoming show is a classic: Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Showtimes will take place, in the state-of-the-art Joan B. Kroc Theatre, on Friday, May 26, 7pm to 8:30pm, Saturday, May 27, 7pm to 8:30pm and Sunday, May 28, 2pm to 3:30pm. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a family-friendly, universal storyline that is sure to entertain the entire family as well as provide a moral lesson.

National award winning Director Michael Anthony has re-imaged the classic story of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, with a modern message of forgiveness and compassion. “The story is relevant to today’s youth and their struggle to find identities in the world,” he continues. A dysfunctional family, plots of jealousy and deceit, turn to dire consequences. “There is a universal moral that healing is possible no matter the amount of hurt.”

The Salvation Army Kroc Center has embraced this production by promoting a coat drive the week of the performances. “The story of Joseph and his coat is very close to our Salvation Army mission,” said Major Rick Peacock, Senior Pastor and Executive Director of the Kroc Center. “We believe in supporting our community. The kids performing this amazing show, and those less fortunate who could use a donated coat on a cold night.” Donations will be accepted in the Arts & Education building through Sunday, May 28th.

Experience the magical musical, full of unforgettable songs, including ‘Go Go Joseph’, ‘Any Dream Will Do’ and ‘Close Every Door’ with us this May!
