Ming ZhangMulvannyG2 Architecture President Ming Zhang, FAIA, has been elevated to the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) College of Fellows, the College recently announced.

The AIA’s Fellowship program was developed to elevate those architects who have made a significant contribution to the profession, achieving a national standard of excellence.

Zhang is a leading designer of mixed-use developments, corporate offices, and retail centers worldwide.

Specifically, the Jury of Fellows awarded Zhang this honor because of his “notable contributions to the advancement of architecture” for his work that has dramatically improved the standards of practice and design in China over the course of two decades.

Election to fellowship not only recognizes the achievements of architects as individuals, but also their significant contribution to architecture and society. The AIA’s 2014 Jury of Fellows elevated 139 AIA members to its prestigious College of Fellows. The AIA has distinguished 3,100 of its members with this honor among its membership of more than 83,000.

The 2014 Fellows will be honored at an investiture ceremony at the 2014 National AIA Convention this summer in Chicago.
