The Bank of Washington has appointed veteran banker, Sheri A. Peña, as its Senior Vice President of Community Banking. In her new role, Sheri will oversee the bank’s branch network in Snohomish and King Counties with a focus on deposit growth. She will also be responsible for deposit operations, branch compliance and the client services team.
Peña’s banking career spans more than 25 years, with experience in community banking as well as business and private banking. Most recently, she was Senior Vice President of Client Management at Pacific Crest Savings Bank in Lynnwood, and previously managed Client Services at Charter Bank in Bellevue. Marty Steele, the bank’s President and CEO said, “We are very excited to have Sheri join our team. Having worked with her at Charter Bank, I know first-hand the depth of her branch banking knowledge and what an asset she will be for us as we shift into growth mode.”
Peña attended college in Santa Rosa and is a graduate of Washington Banker’s Association Compliance School. She has held numerous accreditations including NASD Series 6 and 63 licenses. She is active in the community as a passionate advocate of financial education, volunteering at local schools for all ages.
