The Eastside Business Association has sponsored Taste of the Town since 2007. The goal of the ‘Taste’ is to support Candlelighters Foundation by bringing the best local restaurants to the community, and to provide a unique opportunity for them to compete for ‘best of’ in five categories: Best Appetizer, Best Main Course, Best Dessert, Best Presentation, and the final award, “The Taste of the Town”. A silent auction and brief live auction will also benefit Candlelighters Childhood Foundation of Western Washington.
Comedian Rod Long will be our Master of Ceremonies. Pianist John Gilbert and saxophonist Kevin Buster will provide live musical entertainment, as well as special live music from Seattle’s Cream Tangerine Beatles Tribute Experience. The Taste Awards Ceremony concludes the evening experience.
Since 1977, Candlelighters Childhood Foundation of Western Washington has been dedicated to supporting children with cancer and their families as they face diagnosis, treatment, and the long term battle against cancer. All proceeds raised through ‘Taste of the Town’ fund programs and educational materials, emergency funds, Care Bags, and family fun events to this non-profit 501c3 organization. Their program details are available at www.candlelighterswa.org.
