The Friends of Costco Guild, led by Jan Sinegal and Lynn Winters, raised $6.6M for Seattle Children’s Hospital at the eleventh annual Children’s Golf Classic August 14-16, 2010. This three-day event consistently raises the most money of any event benefitting Children’s.
“The enthusiastic support of our sponsors for the Golf Classic is an amazing gift to the children and families of our community,” said Jan Sinegal, Children’s Golf Classic Chair.
The three-day event began with a special VIP champagne reception for top level sponsors at Chateau St. Michelle in Woodinville. The next evening, 1,000 guests enjoyed dinner on the infield at Safeco Field. The evening concluded with a special private performance from the rock band Chicago.
Monday morning, more than 1,000 players tee’d up at seven premier Northwest golf courses: The Golf Club at Newcastle’s Coal Creek and China Creek courses, The Plateau Club, Inglewood Golf Club, Broadmoor Golf Club, Meridian Valley Country Club, and Washington National Golf Club.
The E&J Gallo Winery putting contest winner received a weekend trip to Napa Valley. The Golf Classic concluded with an awards presentation and dinner at The Golf Club at Newcastle.
The Friends of Costco Guild recognized the Classic Circle of Care Sponsors at the $100,000 level, Costco Wholesale, agron, inc./adidas, American Express, Cargill, Inc., General Mills, JBS Swift, Nice-Pak, Pilgrim’s Pride, Sun Products Corporation, Sinegal Family Foundation; and the title sponsors at the $50,000 level, Allied Marketing, Comprehensive Payment Recovery Services, ConAgra Foods, Diageo, Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Earth Friendly Products, LNK International.
