Baseball for the Blind Seattle SluggersBaseball for the Blind to Be Featured at AAA Game

The Seattle South King County Sluggers beep baseball (baseball for the blind) team is being featured at Cheney Stadium during the July 2nd Tacoma Rainiers game. This will be the first time a team of blind individuals have been featured at a triple game in our state. They have given us tickets to sell for the event and our fundraiser. The tickets are $25 each, but include a hot dog and chips, and would be supporting Seattle’s First Baseball Team for the Blind.

To purchase tickets you can call or email Kevin Daniel at 206-979-5616 or sluggerbeeperball@gmail.com.

Even if you can’t make the game, donations are always welcome!

The Seattle South King Sluggers beep baseball team is made up of men and women who are blind that competitively play a modified version of America’s favorite pastime. It’s baseball for the blind.  The sport of beep baseball has been around since 1976, and allows blind players to participate in the adaptive version of baseball. As a member of the National Beep Baseball Association (NBBA), a league of 30 blind baseball teams from across the country, the Sluggers have set a goal of being beep baseball National Champions. While working towards this goal, the Sluggers hope to raise awareness of the capabilities of persons who are blind, provide them a fun and life-enhancing activity, and change what it means to be blind in western Washington and beyond. #GoSluggers !!  Keep showing people that challenges can be overcome!
