WA State Rep Luis MoscosoWashington State Representative, Luis Moscoso will speak to students on the Bellevue College campus on Tuesday, March 18 at 1:30 p.m. on the effects of current legislation on students and stereotypes.

The free event will be geared towards students but is open to the public.

ASG campus life and events representative, Melody Salcedo helped organize Moscoso’s visit and hopes students will feel motivated and excited about their education after meeting with a state representative.

“It’s important for students to know what is going on outside of school and how laws affect them as well,” she said.  “I am really excited to have an influential guest speaker on campus and I hope this will also continue to motivate Latinos to take leadership roles not only on our campus but after graduating as well.”

Moscoso’s trip to the Eastside campus is supported in part by El Centro Latino and the Associated Student Government of Bellevue College. His two-hour visit will commence with a brief speech, followed by a question and answer session.

Moscoso represents Washington’s first district, including parts of north King and south Snohomish counties. For more information, please visit: http://housedemocrats.wa.gov/roster/rep-Luis-Moscoso/biography/
