The 6th Annual Spring Wine Festival is in full bloom and right around the corner, happening on April 12, 2014 in Anacortes, Washington.
The Anacortes Spring Wine Festival brings 30 wineries to Fidalgo Island for one more year of decadent wine tasting, food matching, live music, art, shopping and blooming tulip fields. Visitor’s travel from all corners of the world to behold the amazing Skagit Valley tulip fields in full bloom. Enhancing their journey to the Valley, the April 12, 2014 event date presents the opportunity to indulge in the greater appreciation for the glorious grape in red, white and blush flavors with finishing flavors of vanilla, spice, tobacco, floral, butter and berry on the pier overlooking the beautiful Guemes Channel. Festival attendees’ mark down the finishes that entice them to buy a bottle or case at discounted prices only available at the Spring Wine Festival.
Make a full weekend of the festival by making reservations at area hotels. Many are offering “Wine Packages” that include tickets to the festival, and/or winemaker or wine-pairing dinners featuring wines from the festival. Several area restaurants are also featuring wines of the festival during the month of April.
