Christmas on the Mountain at Mission RidgeIf you or your family are looking to go skiing or snowboarding in the Pacific Northwest during the holidays and/or on Christmas Day, Mission Ridge is worth checking out.  Mission Ridge is THE place for Christmas skiing.

Mission Ridge has the great advantage of Snow Makers!  40 Snow Making Hydrants covering 66 acres.  So if Mother Nature doesn’t want to let go of much snow during the early part of the season, Mission Ridge makes it’s own snow – so you and me can go ski and snow board.  How cool is that?  Nothing is going to stop us from skiing and snowboarding at Mission Ridge this year.  Especially during the Holidays.  They have some great package deals with their partner motels in Wenatchee making Mission Ridge one of Washington’s Best Ski Packages.

The snow hasn’t been very good or plenty so far in Washington this season, so there just aren’t many ski areas open.  Mission Ridge is open for skiing every day of the week now thru January 6th.  After the 6th in January, they close a couple of days mid-week – usually Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but it changes so be sure to consult the Mission Ridge Operating Schedule.

You don’t have to wait until Christmas Day to get in with the festivities at Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort – they are having Christmas on the Mountain this Saturday December 21st from 2pm – 6:e0 with all kind of festivities leading until the stunning Torch Light Parade on the mountain after dark.  The Mission Ridge website reads as follows:

A free afternoon for kids and families! Activities include:

  • Face Painting
  • Gingerbread Decorating
  • Ornament Making Stations
  • S’mores Around the Campfire

We’ll also have live music, Christmas carolers, Santa, hot chocolate and cider.

Stick around until nightfall to see the stunning Torch Light Parade – something you won’t want to miss!
