Zoltan Kaszas Winner of 2014 Seattle Comedy Competition

After 22 shows over 26 days in 19 venues, San Diego comedian Zoltan Kaszas has won the 34th Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition.

Born in Budapest, Mr. Kaszas was the “last comic standing” from a pool over over 1300 applicants from all over the world.  He was awarded the $5000 first prize at the conclusion of last night’s Finals at Seattle’s Comedy Underground,  defeating four other finalists. 
Finishing second and winning $2000 was Graham Kay of Toronto; third place and $1700 went to Southern California-based Trenton Davis (representing Chicago);  in fourth was Toronto comedian Dave Merheje; and 5th was Seattle’s Rodger Lizaola, currently a Bay Area comic.
