Sound Publishing, owner of the Everett Herald, relocated its Daily Herald office headquarters to the 1800 Forty First Building in Everett. Daniel Seger, Brent Jackson and Pat McCabe of Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) represented the landlord in the 15,915 square foot transaction.
The two-building property was formerly a single-tenant headquarters for Verizon/Frontier Communications. JLL was retained earlier this year to sell the property on behalf of Frontier, which continues to lease one of the two buildings.
With its 43 newspaper titles, Sound Publishing is the largest community media organization in Washington State. Sound has a combined print circulation of 637,547 and employs more than 500 people in 32 locations around the Puget Sound region and eastern Washington.
The Daily Herald will move to it’s new space from its existing facility which is located at 1213 California Street in Everett in early 2014.
