WHAT:  To aid those stricken by Typhoon Haiyan, local non-profit Band of Brothers NW has partnered with some of the Pacific Northwest’s most well-known companies and organizations to collect more than 100,000 bottles of clean drinking water to provide to those in need, and they’re asking the public for help. There are three ways the public can help in this effort:

***Go to www.bobnw.org/give to provide a monetary donation to use toward the purchase of cases of water. For every $40 that is donated, 6 cases of water (24 16 oz. bottles) will be purchased and sent to the Philippines.

***TODAY Friday, November 15, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bartell Drugs located at 653 156th Ave NE in Bellevue, volunteers will be on hand to accept cash donations and donations of cases of water in hopes of filling a 48-foot enclosed trailer provided by Knight Transport. The public can bring their own cases to donate or they can purchase discounted cases at the Bartell Drugs for $2.99 per case.

***Use your online voice to raise awareness and let others know how you’re helping through social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. using the hashtag #WeCarePH.
