Washington Federal has named J Denis Watts Commercial Appraisal Review Manager and Vice President, announced Mark Schoonover, Washington Federal’s Chief Credit Officer and Executive Vice President.
Watts, a resident of Woodinville, Washington, brings nearly 35 years of banking and appraisal experience to Washington Federal. Watts most recently served as a commercial fee appraiser at the Appraisal Group of the Northwest in Bellevue. Previous experience also includes working at Chinook Appraisal Services, Mechanics National Bank, and World Savings and Loan.
Watts is a Washington State Certified General Appraiser and a member of the International Right-of-Way Association. Additionally, he has served as a youth and high school soccer coach in his local community. He is a graduate of West Covina High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in finance, with a specialty in real estate, from California State University at Long Beach. He earned his master’s in business administration from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona. In his leisure time he enjoys soccer and fly fishing.
