Best of the Northwest returns by popular demand to Seattle’s Magnuson Park for their 25th annual art & fine craft show. It is produced by Northwest Art Alliance, a 501(c)(3) organization devoted to nurturing art and artists in the Pacific Northwest.
Magnuson Park’s Hangar 30 is a smaller, more intimate venue resulting in Best of the Northwest splitting their Fall Show into Two Acts, with a different cast of 100 artists and artisans in each one:
Act II: November 08, 09, 10
Act II:
Friday, November 08th 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday, November 09th 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Notably, artist and Bellevue resident, Stasia Burrington, will be showing her work in Act II Best of the Northwest Art & Fine Craft Show.
Here’s what Stasia has to say about her work:
I’ve always wanted to be an artist, and I attended Cornish College of the Arts here in Seattle, before finishing up my BFA at the University of Idaho. For three years I’ve worked full-time from my traveling home studio creating new work while managing my online Etsy shop (www.stasiab.etsy.com).
When people are exposed to my art, I hope they come away feeling good, inspired, and understood — like they’ve been let in on some kind of secret or inside joke. My work ranges from the strictly pretty and ephemeral, to the bittersweet, to the sideways, silly and slightly subversive. I value strong line-work, negative space, and the idea of visual poetry.
During the past few years, my art process has evolved from being very black-and-white and ink heavy, to softening up a bit and incorporating more color. I am constantly experimenting with water-media and incorporating collaged components – mainly cutting patterns out of quilt fabric. I have until recently also worked on a very small scale as a result from living in a very tiny space. My pieces now are starting to get larger and have more depth and nuance both in color value, and emotion.
I have so many dream projects! One day I will illustrate children’s books, and in the near future I would love to collaborate with other artists in different fields to create beautiful things: textiles, murals, videos and music.
Tickets to Best of the Northwest Act II are $5 online, $6 at the door; $8 online special admits two. Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by a parent.
There will be 100 different and talented artists at each event selling their handcrafted work, everything from jewelry, designer clothing, paintings, works of glass, metal, wood, clay and more. Complete your holiday shopping in one stop, find unique decor for home and office. Be entertained by musicians, enjoy a bite to eat and become inspired by art demonstrations—fun for the whole family.
