John HueyThe Bank of Washington recently named John R. Huey III as its new Senior Vice President and Manager of Commercial Banking. In this new role, John will lead the bank’s team of relationship managers and oversee all commercial loan production throughout Snohomish and King Counties.

Huey has been in the banking industry for 25 years, with a strong background in commercial banking, including loan portfolio management and relationship development.  Prior to joining The Bank, he was senior vice president and market manager at Viking Bank, now AmericanWest Bank.  He also held portfolio management positions at The Commerce Bank of Washington as well as US Bank. Marty Steele, the bank’s President and CEO said, “John brings tremendous experience and leadership to our management team. Recruiting someone of his caliber to lead our commercial lending group will be a key factor as we grow forward.

Huey graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and attended the Aarhus Graduate School of Management in Aarhus, Denmark. He is also a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School, affiliated with the University of Washington, and Northwest Intermediate Commercial Lending School.  He is past president of the Seattle Executives Association and is on the board of the Manufacturing Industrial Council and the Washington Oral Health Foundation.
