HipSoft, a leader and innovator in the casual game market, is excited to announce the appointment of Ron Powers as Chief Executive Officer.
Ron comes to HipSoft with a wealth of experience in the game industry, most recently as Head of Business Development at PopCap Games. Prior to his role at PopCap, he served as Vice President of Developer Relations and Business Development at Oberon Media (iPlay) and began his industry career as one of the Principals at GameHouse, Inc.
He is a recognized leader in building successful partnerships, creating product & market strategies, and he has a track record of expanding brands into new markets. Ron also brings a passion for growing companies through positive leadership and professional development at all levels of the organization. His extensive knowledge of product development and channel marketing makes him the ideal candidate to lead HipSoft into new markets and business models.
At HipSoft, Ron will focus the company on its mobile and social gaming strategies and provide proactive leadership in adapting to the ever changing business models therein. He will direct the company’s growth plans, developing strategic partnerships with platforms and distributors alike, and advise on new product development. In addition, he will work closely on the financial side of the business, with an emphasis on maximizing shareholder value.
