On October 18, 2013, Pilchuck Glass School will hold its 35th Annual Auction Gala at The Westin Seattle. One of Seattle’s premier fundraising events, the auction is attended by over 700 patrons, artists, and community leaders from the Northwest and nationwide. It is a leading showcase for contemporary glass created by artists from around the world. The event features more than 350 artworks and funds raised support the school’s dynamic educational programs. Ticket prices start at $250 for individuals with early bird pricing until September 6. R.S.V.P  for the auction gala by October 11, 2013.

Electronic bidding in the silent auction is provided by GiveSmart. Bidding for the silent auction opens one week prior to the auction gala on October 11, 2013 at 4:00 pm.

Pilchuck hosts two additional annual events in conjunction with the auction gala: Pilchuck on Display: an Exhibition of International Glass, October 17 from 6-8 pm, and the Pilchuck Auction Tour, held over the course of four days, October 16-19.

Pilchuck on Display: an Exhibition of International Glass

On October 17, Pilchuck Glass School will host a one-night public exhibition featuring original works in glass by more than 250 local and international artists. Pilchuck on Display will be held at The Westin Seattle as part of the school’s annual auction celebration. Free and open to the public, this exhibition offers visitors an unparalleled opportunity to view an array of artwork while mingling with artists and patrons. The event offers docent-lead tours through the exhibition, highlighting various glassmaking processes and a history of Pilchuck. No reservations required.

Pilchuck Auction Tour

Every fall, Pilchuck Glass School hosts the Auction Tour for glass enthusiasts and art lovers. Held in conjunction with the Annual Auction Gala, the tour offers participants the opportunity to discover new art and artists in the enjoyable company of fellow travelers. The 2013 tour includes a visit to the Pilchuck campus plus excursions to the studios of Flora Mace and Joey Kirkpatrick, Dale ChihulyPreston SingletaryRichard Royal, Boyd Sugiki & Lisa Zerkowitz, Steve Klein and William Morris. Ticket prices for the tour start at $2000 and include red carpet admission to the Auction Gala at the benefactor level. Reservations required.
