MessiestDeskContest_Logo_v2In the spirit of Get Organized Month in January, Innovatively Organized, a Seattle business organization and productivity consulting firm, is opening nominations for its 2nd-annual Messiest Desk Contest.

“We’re seeking the most disorganized workspace in the Greater Seattle area so our professional consultant team can transform a current paper disaster into a neat, productive work environment,” said President and Founder Elizabeth Bowman. “We will take one lucky winner from a mere New Year’s resolution to an actual functioning desk.”

“According to a study conducted by a major American corporation, nearly one week of work time per person is lost as a result of searching for misplaced office items, emails and files annually. This year’s Messiest Desk contest winner will have his or her work desk transformed so they can move to a more productive and organized new year,” explained Bowman.

Beginning January 2, local office workers are encouraged to nominate a friend, co-worker, family member, boss, or themselves at www.InnovativelyOrganized.com. The top-five messiest finalists will be announced January 22 and the public can vote online for a winner between January 22-26.

The Messiest Desk contest winner will be revealed on January 28, 2013. In addition to the organization overhaul from the Innovatively Organized team, a gift basket of tools and products will be awarded from co-sponsors Getting Organized Magazine, Turnstone, and more.

Throughout January, Innovatively Organized will provide timely tips for maintaining an organized business workspace as well as progress reports of the winner’s desk transformation on its blog at www.InnovativelyOrganized.com/blog. Entry forms and complete contest rules can be found at www.InnovativelyOrganized.com starting January 1st. The winner must meet eligibility requirements. Offer is void where prohibited by law.
