From September 29 through October 11 apartments are being renovated for families living in Kirkland Interfaith Transitions in Housing’s (KITH) Salisbury Court.  Builder Murray Franklyn is leading this newest Master Builders Care Foundation HomeAid project.  The value of the project is estimated to be over $86,000, and almost 90% will be donated.

The project will benefit families facing a homelessness crisis by providing housing as they become stable and self-sufficient.

Murray Franklyn, with the generous help of their employees and trade partners, will update a 4-plex at the site.  Jan Dickerman, Executive Director of KITH, was overwhelmed by the generosity.  “I can’t express how amazing this is.  The work is so needed.  It will provide brand new homes for our families.  We are extremely grateful to the Master Builders Care Foundation, its HomeAid program, members of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, and of course Murray Franklyn, their employees and partners.”

Speaking on behalf of Murray Franklyn, Ron Boscola stated, “The Murray Franklyn family of companies are proud and excited to provide our talents, skills, resources and abilities to support KITH, who in return support those most in need.  We believe that giving back to the community establishes the true values and character of any company and we are grateful that the Master Builders Association, through their Care Foundation, considered us for the opportunity.  Our employees and trade partners are excited about supporting this project.”

According to Craig Krueger, President of the Master Builders Care Foundation, this is the 13thh HomeAid project for the organization, and it has partnered with nonprofits in King and Snohomish counties to build or renovate safe dignified housing that provides more than 60,000 annual bednights for those most in need within the community.

The Master Builders Care Foundation is a philanthropic arm of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. Comprised of more than 3,100 companies, the Master Builders Association is the nation’s oldest and largest local home builders association in the nation.
