The ninth annual Master Builders Care Foundation’s Painting A Better Tomorrow event on Saturday, November 5, put fresh paint on the interior walls of the Bellevue Boys & Girls Club’s new 7,500 square foot facility located at 15238 Lake Hills Blvd., Bellevue, WA.

The new and as yet unnamed facility, formerly a King County Library, will be open to all teens from ages 13 through 19.   Programs will include music lessons, homework help and academic support, movie making, graphic design, music production, drama and fitness.  Teens will also be offered a free “teen feed” dinner once a week.  The new center will also host local high school band concerts on most weekends.

According to Art Castilleja, event chair, the one-day blitz brings homebuilding industry volunteers together for a day of giving back. “We enjoy supporting the Boys and Girls Clubs, as they have a huge positive impact on youth,” he said.

Painting a Better Tomorrow brings members and friends of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties together once each year.  Since its inception in October of 2004, more than 1,200 volunteers have painted and made improvements to more than 44 agencies.

The Master Builders Care Foundation is a philanthropic arm of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. Comprised of more than 3,100 companies, the Master Builders Association is the nation’s oldest and largest local home builders association in the nation.  2011 Painting a Better Tomorrow is supported by presenting sponsor, Capital Benefit Services, and gold sponsors, Aqua Quip and Whirlpool Corporation.
