The newest hot spot in Redmond, Redmond’s Bar and Grill, will hold its official Grand Opening event on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, starting with a Redmond City Council ribbon cutting midday and culminating in an evening event featuring appetizers, champagne and proceeds donated to Hopelink, a local charity.
GRAND OPENING EVENT
- Festivities begin at 11 a.m. on November 2nd with a ribbon cutting by a Redmond City Council member.
- The restaurant, which has been open for about a month for a soft launch, will remain open for business after the ribbon cutting, and then beginning at 6 p.m. that night until 10 p.m., Redmond’s will provide guests a culinary sampling of some of its signature dishes and celebrate with a champagne toast.
- Ten percent of all proceeds from the day will benefit Hopelink, a Redmond-based non-profit organization that works with the homeless, low-income families and people with disabilities, which will be on hand to share information about the organization.
REDMOND’S BAR AND GRILL QUICK BITES
· Redmond’s is open Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and starting at 9 a.m. until 2 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays for football games, featuring a special brunch menu.
· Happy Hour specials on wine, beer and food are served seven days a week from 3 to 6 p.m., and late night on Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to midnight.
· Redmond’s Bar and Grill is located on the northwest corner of Leary Way and Redmond Way, in the heart downtown Redmond, at 7979 Leary Way NE.
REDMOND’S BAR AND GRILL DETAILS
Redmond’s Bar and Grill is located in a historic space built in 1903 that has been a community center, movie house, meeting space, dance hall, antique shop, and most recently, a restaurant/bar called Oddfellow’s Grill. The space was gutted and remodeled by its newest owners, transforming it into an upscale watering hole and bistro featuring American fare, spacious bar area, multiple flat screen TVs and two sleek grey-felt pool tables. Rich, burgundy walls create a feeling of intimacy juxtaposed by generously appointed vaulted ceilings and high, wide windows flooding the room with natural light.
“We’re bringing an upscale bistro and sports bar to Redmond,” said Tim Short, Redmond’s Bar & Grill co-owner. This is Short’s third restaurant venture, following two successful restaurants in Arizona. Short returned to his hometown of Seattle to open Redmond’s with childhood friend and co-owner Ander Larson, also a Seattle native. Chris Nelson has been brought on board as head chef.
