The Friends of Costco Guild, led by Jan Sinegal and Lynn Winters, raised $7.1M for Seattle Children’s Hospital at the 12th annual Children’s Golf Classic Aug. 6-8. This three-day event consistently raises the most money of any event benefitting Children’s. In its 12 year history, the Children’s Golf Classic has raised more than $50 million for Seattle Children’s uncompensated care program. Uncompensated care fulfills Children’s mission to care for every child in the region regardless of their ability to pay.
“We are proud to be celebrating our 12th year of providing support for uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s,” said Jan Sinegal, Children’s Golf Classic Chair. “The enthusiastic support of our sponsors, guests and volunteers is an amazing gift to the children and families of our region.”
The three-day event began with a special VIP Reception for top level sponsors at the Space Needle. The next evening, 1,100 guests enjoyed dinner on the infield at Safeco Field. The evening concluded with a special private performance from one of the most successful bands in Australia’s history – Human Nature.
Monday morning, more than 1,100 players tee’d up at eight premier Northwest golf courses: The Golf Club at Newcastle’s Coal Creek and China Creek courses, The Plateau Club, Inglewood Golf Club, Broadmoor Golf Club, Meridian Valley Country Club, TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge and Washington National Golf Club. The E&J Gallo Winery putting contest winner received a weekend trip to Napa Valley. The Golf Classic concluded with an awards presentation and dinner at The Golf Club at Newcastle.
