Savvy Washington state companies are increasing profits while at the same time reducing their impact on the environment through a process called by-product synergy. Since 2007, the By-Product Synergy Northwest project has worked with member businesses to take innovative approaches toward managing materials and reducing wastes.

By-Product Synergy Northwest will hold the 4th Annual Waste-to Profit Workshop and Networking Event:

* April 13, 2011

* 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

* Seattle City Hall, 600 – 4th Ave.

* Bertha Knight Landes Room

By-Product Synergy NW is managed by the Network for Business Innovation and Sustainability with technical support from the Washington Department of Ecology, the U.S. Business Council for Sustainable Development and Washington State University.

Membership is open to any company or organization wanting to explore opportunities to turn waste material into products, secure local recycled material streams to replace virgin feedstocks or participate in innovative resource leadership in the Northwest.

  1. This is a terrific event wherein companies gain immediate benefit from the networking experience; and from discovering new opportunities for converting their waste streams into profits. It’s not too late to register for your company; or, to reach out and invite companies with whom you’re acquainted. If you can make it, I hope to see you on the 13th. Best wishes to all, Karl, NBIS Co-Director.
