With $435,000 raised, Olive Crest’s 11th Annual Gala Auction “Feats of Wonder” was an unforgettable night that brought together a guest-list of nearly 400 charitable “super heroes”.

With six kids up on stage giving the opening invocation, the guests were touched by the Bennett family’s prayer.  Andrew and Stacy Bennett have been licensed foster parents with Olive Crest since 2006.  They have foster-adopted three Olive Crest children and are in the process of foster-adopting their fourth.

Guests were provided with an excellent dinner from The Westin Bellevue, which was also where the event was held. Live and silent auctions as well as special drawings took place where attendees had the opportunity to bid on and win premium items.

Linda Simanek, winner of the special Best of Live drawing, chose the Tuscan Villa for a week from the auction collection, while Raimond Adgers, the Opportunity Drawing winner claimed an Apple iPad 2 Wi Fi 32GB HD. Other exciting auctioned items included a trip for two to Paris and an oceanfront villa in Los Cabos for eight.

All proceeds from the “Feats of Wonder” Annual Gala Auction directly benefit Olive Crest’s mission of preventing child abuse, treating and educating at-risk children, and preserving the family.

Kevin Hunter, Olive Crest Executive Director said, “We are so grateful for the generous support of our sponsors, donors, volunteers and guests who continue to be the super heroes for over 4,000 abused and neglected children and families we serve annually.”

For those who could not attend the event but wish to make a contribution, donations can be made online at any time, or mailed to Olive Crest, 515 116th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004.
