The Hearing, Speech & Deafness Center invites you to Sharpen Your Inner Chef, An Evening of Food, Friends and Philanthropy, Thursday March 3, 2011. Guests will have the opportunity to work with professional chefs at the Blue Ribbon Culinary Center in Seattle to learn tantalizing techniques at various cooking stations, and enjoy a delicious meal overlooking Lake Union. This fun evening is to support Early Childhood Education and Clinical Services for young children with disabilities and offers a different twist to the usual event. Guests arrive at 6:30 pm for beverages and hors de’ oeuvres, then prepare food at six different stations with chefs (including mixology and wine tasting stations). The evening culminates with enjoying the dinners that guests and the chefs prepared.
Sharpen Your Inner Chef is a great “date night” outing with friends and family, or an opportunity to cook with new friends while supporting children with special needs. The event runs from 6:30 to 9:30 and the registration fee is $145 per ticket, a portion of which goes directly to services supporting early learning and intervention. To register for the event please visit www.hsdc.org/events or call 206-388-1256.
