There will be public skiing at Snoqualmie Pass this weekend!  This Saturday, November 19th, 2011, will the first day of winter operations of the 2011-2012 winter season at Summit West.  Lift tickets for opening weekend will be discounted to the rate of $35 for adults and $30 for youth.  The kind people here at have again offered the great people at The Summit an opportunity to promote The Summit and all it’s winter fun here on this site in exchange for a season pass (and rental pass). 12” of snow in the past 72 hours, combined with last weekend’s storm system and a favorable forecast are allowing this earlier-than-average opening.  “We are thrilled that La Nina has provided us with the snow necessary to facilitate another early season opening!” said Dan Brewster, general manager for The Summit. “A pre-Thanksgiving opening date is always a plus and typically serves as a good indicator of a long and plentiful winter season.” Summit West will operate from 9am-4pm Saturday and Sunday, closing Monday and Tuesday of next week before re-opening Wednesday, November 23rd.
