Sponge, a children’s language center, recently opened a new Bellevue location and will host an “Around the World” grand opening event on Sunday, Oct. 9, to celebrate the occasion. The free event will take local families all over the globe with mini language classes, crafts, story time and snacks.

Native-speaking teachers from Sponge will lead fun-filled Spanish, Mandarin, French and Japanese classes. Children will have a chance to listen to stories and create traditional crafts from around the world. Families may sample snacks from global culinary traditions and enter to win a special door prize: a free language class for Sponge’s first session in Bellevue. This event is geared toward children ages 10 and younger and their families.

The Bellevue location offers Eastside families a central location with close proximity to Bellevue shopping and neighborhoods. Conveniently located off on Northeast 20th Street and easily accessible via I-405 and SR 520, the Bellevue center features a modern, bright design; weekday and weekend classes; and ample parking.
