-Alterra Mountain Company was awarded a 2021 Gold Telly Award in the Online Commercials – Campaign category for its “Do Winter” Ikon Pass video series produced by Stept Studios. This marks the very first Gold Telly Award and the third consecutive recognition for Ikon Pass promotional campaigns. Ikon Pass also received a Silver Telly Award in 2019 and 2020.

The four-part “Do Winter” series of short videos ran in November 2020 to generate excitement for the 2020/2021 winter season, and encourage Ikon Pass holders to trade their newfound forced pandemic hobbies for their favorite winter adventures. Released on social media and through endemic media partners as the snow started to fall in North America, the videos were designed to inspire outdoor enthusiasts, and instill some collective humor among the Ikon Pass community after some difficult months.

The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and are judged by a group of over 200+ industry leaders. The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and honors excellence in local, regional and cable television commercials, and non-broadcast video and television programming. Receiving over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world.

“We are honored to receive a Gold Telly Award for the Ikon Pass ‘Do Winter’ video campaign and are thrilled to be recognized for the third consecutive year,” said Erik Forsell, CMO, Alterra Mountain Company. “This is a testament to the exceptional creative work of our team, who continues to push boundaries. We wanted to provide the Ikon Pass community with inspiration, and we are happy that the content resonated with skiers and snowboarders during this very unusual winter.”
